These Terms of service are a binding legal agreement between you and Asansa that governs the right to use the website, applications, and other offerings from Asansa.
By agreeing to our terms, you are agreeing to everything in these documents. If you don’t accepts any of these Terms, please do not use our platform.
All this information is important because it along with your confirmation email after booking, and any pre-contractual information provided before you book sets out the legal terms on which service providers offer their travel experiences through our platform.
In the case of something going wrong with your travel experience, Section I of these terms explains what to do about it. This includes making complaints to us and using an online dispute resolution service.

Asansa dictionary
A. All Travel Experiences
The Asansa platform enables Users to publish, offer, search for, and book services. Members who publish and offer services are Host and members who search for, book or use our services are Guest. Host offer accommodations. As the provider of the Asansa platform, Asansa does not own, control, offer or manage any publishing from the host. Asansa is not a party to the contracts entered into directly between Host and Guest, nor is Asansa a realestate broker, travel agency, or insurer. Asansa is not acting as an agent in any capacity for any member.
Our platform gets a lot of information from service providers which we can’t guarantee that everything is accurate. But we are very diligent in making sure we provide the very best information for our users. Unless we have failed to do so, or have been negligent in our duty, we can’t be held responsible for any interruptions,missing bits of information and errors. None of these prevents us from always doing everything we can to fix and correct such issues when we become aware of them.
In a quest to provide customers the best of service on Asansa, we sometimes show different people different designs, phrasings, products e.t.c. to find out their reactions. As a result you might not come across some services or conditions when you visit our platform.
We are not a recommendation of endorsement of any service provider or its product, services, facilities, vehicles e.t.c.
To book on the Asansa platform, you will need to create an account, please make sure to include all your info which will be required from us including payment and contact details and also that, it is accurate and up to date or you might find you can’t access your travel itinerary. You are responsible for your account and please don’t let anyone use it and please keep your password secret.
Unless otherwise indicated, you need to be at least 18 to use our platform.
You will abide by our values, comply with all applicable laws and cooperate with any anti-fraud/ anti-money laundering checks we need to carry out. Not causing any nuisance or damage, and not to behave inappropriately to service providers personnel or anyone for that matter. You will be required to use our platform for its intended purpose and not use the platform to cause a nuisance or make a fake booking.
B. ACCOMMODATIONS
When you book a listing, you are agreeing to make payment on all charges which may include
taxes, service fees and other items collectively seen at checkout as Total price.
Information about service providers like house rules, facilities, availability, cancellation and policies is based on what they provide to us. We provide the platform by which service providers can promote and sell their accommodations which the guest can search for, compare and book. Our platform allows you to discover accommodations all over the African continent and our search result helps you filter results to your preferences.
Once your accommodation has been booked, we confirm the details of the transactions to both you and the service provider, including names. And depending on the terms of your booking, you may be able to change or cancel it if you want. It is your responsibility to read and understand these terms of the contract including all rules, standards, policies and requirements prior to booking a place, it is also your responsibility for leaving an accommodation in the condition it was when you arrived, you are responsible for paying all reasonable damage claims amount. Please contact us using the Help center which is available 24 hours a day if you need help with anything.
A guest may decide to book an accommodation by reservation which is a limited license to enter, occupy and use the accommodation. The host retains his right to re-enter the
accommodation during your stay to the extent it is permitted by your contract with the host, permitted by applicable law, if it is reasonable necessary and if you stay past checkout the host has the right to make you leave in a manner applicable by law including imposing overstay penalties. You may also not exceed the maximum number of allowed guests.
In the instance where you cancel a reservation, the amount refunded to you is determined by the host cancellation policy that applies to that reservation. But, in other instances other policies take precedence and determine what amount is refunded to you. If something beyond your control forces you to cancel a reservation, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund under our policy, and if the host cancels you,or you experience some difficulty on a reservation issue you may be eligible for rebooking assistance or partial or full refund under our policy.
C. HOST TERMS
As a host, Asansa offers you the right to use our platform in accordance with these terms to share your accommodation and other host services with our community of guests and earn some money doing it.
When a booking is accepted or a booking is confirmed through the Asansa platform, you are entering into a direct contract with the guest and are responsible for delivering the host service under the terms and price specified in your listing. You are also agreeing to pay Asansa service fee and applicable taxes for each booking, you must describe any and all fees and charges in your listing and may not collect any additional fees outside of the Asansa platform.You are an independent entity and not an employee,agent, joint venturer or partner of Asansa. Asansa does not control or direct your host services and that you have complete control on when to provide services and at what price and on what terms to offer them.
The Asansa platform provides tools for you that makes it easier to post and manage your listing. Your listing must include accurate information about the property, your price and any other charge. It must also include information such as rules and requirements that applies to your guest or listing. You are responsible for keeping your listing accurate and up to date with information such as calendar availability, content like photos and written descriptions to your services. You may post one listing per accommodation or have multiple listings for a single property if it has multiple places for lodgings.
You are responsible for understanding and complying with the rules, laws, regulations and contracts with third parties that relate to your listing.
If you work as a team, business or organization you are responsible and liable as a host under these terms for the acts and omissions of each entity and individual who participates in providing your host services and you are responsible for informing personnel engaged by you to deliver any host services of your obligations under these terms.
D. ATTRACTION
We do not offer, or provide any attractions on our own behalf, when you book an attraction you enter into a contract directly with the service provider or a third party aggregator. We act solely as a platform and are not involved in the terms of the service. We provide the platform on which service providers can promote and sell experiences and you can search for and book them.
E. PRICES AND PAYMENT
When you make a booking, you are agreeing to pay the cost of the travel experience including any taxes or charges that may apply.
The Asansa platform provides payment services to Users publishing, offering and booking accommodations or other host services. We collect payment from guests by charging the payment method associated with their Asansa account, such as credit card,debit card,bank account,mobile money, PayPal account. We then effect payment to the Host on a payout method associated with their Asansa account such as, mobile money number,bank account, debit card and PayPal account. Payout to the host can also be done by a payout method designated by the host.
In order to use the payment services, you must at least be 18 years old and must have an Asansa account in good standing with the Asansa terms and must keep your payment information accurate and complete.
Payment services will be provided by the contracting entity of Paystack, an affiliate of Stripe, which will facilitate all our payment transactions regardless of the user’s country of origin.
By using the payment services, you agree to comply with these payment terms. Asansa may temporarily limit or suspend your access to or use of our payment services or its features, to carry out maintenance measures that ensure the proper functioning of the service. We may also improve and modify the payment services and introduce new payment services from time to time. Asansa users will be notified prior to making any changes to the payment services, unless such changes do not materially increase the users contractual obligations or decrease the users right under these payment terms.
You authorize Asansa to make any enquiries we consider necessary to verify your identity and information you provide, and if applicable verifying the identity of the representative and beneficial owner. This may mean screening you, your representative and beneficial owner against third party databases or other sources, requesting reports from service providers asking you and if applicable, your representative and beneficial owner to provide a valid form of government identity (e.g., passport ) to check your name, date of birth, nationality, digital address and/or other information which we deem necessary under applicable laws requiring you to take steps to confirm ownership of your email address, payout methods. Asansa reserves the right to terminate, suspend or limit access to the payment services in the event we are unable to obtain or verify any of this information.
When you add a payment method to your Asansa account, you will be asked to provide billing information such as name, billing address and financial services provider information to our third party payment processor. You authorize our payment service providers to collect and store your payment method information.
When you use a new payment method, Asansa may verify the payment method, we will automatically save and add that payment method to your Asansa account so it can be used for future transactions. You allow Asansa to charge your payment method either directly or indirectly for all fees due, including taxes in connection to your Asansa account. When you pay using your debit card account, you authorize Asansa to debit your account according to the payment schedule shown at checkout. You also authorize Asansa to further credit or debit your account to correct any erroneous debit, make necessary adjustments to your payment or issue refunds to your account. If your payment method account information changes (e.g., routing number,expiration date,account number) as a result of reissuance or otherwise, we may acquire that information from our financial services partners or your bank and automatically update your payment method on file.
Asansa generally charges the total price due after your booking has been accepted successfully by the host. Asansa will collect the total price due at the time of your booking, we may also offer alternative options for the timing and manner of payment. Any additional fees for using those alternative payment options will be displayed via the Asansa platform and included in the total price and you agree to such fees by selecting the payment option. Once the payment for your requested is successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation email.
The currencies available to make payments may be limited in regards to the capabilities of the third party payment IP we are currently using for the Asansa platform. Any such limitations will be communicated via the Asansa platform and you will be prompted to select a different currency or payment method if your preferred currency is not available.
Asansa is not responsible for any loss suffered by you as a result of incorrect payment method information provided by you.
Asansa will generally collects the total price of booking minus the charges that will be taken by our payment service provider 24 hours after the guest booking request is accepted by the host, unless noted otherwise.
In order to receive payout as a host on Asansa you must have a valid payout method linked to your Asansa account. When adding a payout method you will be required to provide information such as name, address,billing address,government identification to Asansa and also our third party payment processor. Depending on the payout method, additional information may be required such as name of account,account type,routing number,account number,email address,payout currency and account information associated with a particular payment processor. Providing requested information is required for the payout method to be valid. The information required for a valid payout may change and Asansa may request additional
information at any time, failing to provide such information may result in Asansa placing a temporary hold,suspending or canceling any payout until such information is provided and validated. You authorize Asansa to collect and store payout method information in accordance with Asansa privacy policy. Asansa may also share your information with governmental authorities as required by applicable law.
In regards to the timing of payout on the Asansa platform, upon successful receipt of payment from Guests, Asansa will generally initiate the payout method for accommodations 24 hours after the Guest scheduled check-in-time. For bookings of twenty-eight (28)nights or more, Asansa will generally initiate the first payout 24 hours after scheduled check-in-time, and will initiate future payouts every 30 days after initial payout, for the duration of the stay.
Your payout will be the total price set by you minus Asansa service fee and the charge that will be required by your payout method in making payment to you. In the event of a cancellation of a confirmed booking, Asansa will remit the amount you are due (if any) as provided in the terms and applicable cancellation policy.
Asansa may temporarily place a hold,suspend,or cancel any payout for purposes of preventing unlawful activity or fraud,risk assessment or completing an investigation or if we are unable to verify your identity.
Asansa will make payouts in the currency you select via the Asansa platform. Note that our third party payment processor may impose transaction,currency conversion or other fees based on the currency or payout method you select, Asansa is not responsible for any such fees and disclaims all liability in this regard. For operational or compliance reasons, Asansa may limit the amount of a payout. If you are due an amount above that limit. Asansa may make a series of payout over multiple days in order to provide your full payout amount.
Payout methods will involve the use of our third party payment service provider, this payment service provider may charge additional fees when processing payouts in connection with the payment services including deducting charges from payout amount. Asansa is not responsible for any such fees and disclaims all liability in this regard. Please review if your payout method attracts additional terms of use from third party payment services provider before using your payout method.
Asansa may combine amounts collected from Guests and invest them as permitted under applicable laws. Asansa will retain any interest it earns on these investments.
Each Host,including host teams hereby appoint Asansa and our third party payment processor as the host payment collection agent solely for the purpose of accepting and processing funds from Guest purchasing host services on the host behalf. The Host or host team agrees that payment made by a Guest through Asansa, shall be considered the same as payment made directly to the host, and the host will provide service booked by the guest in the agreed upon manner as if the host had received the payment directly from the guest. Each host, also agrees that Asansa may refund the guest in accordance with the terms. Each host, understanding that
Asansa obligation to pay the host is subject to and conditional upon successful receipt of associated payment from Guest. Asansa guarantees payment to the host only for such amounts that have been successfully received by Asansa from Guest in accordance with these payment terms. As the appointed limited payment collection agent of the host, Asansa assumes no liability for any acts or omissions of the host.
Each Guest understands and acknowledges the fact that Asansa is not part of the agreement between you and the Host, Asansa acts as each host payment collection agent for the limited purpose of accepting payment from you on behalf of the host. Upon the guest payment to Asansa, the guest payment obligation to the host for the agreed upon is extinguished, and Asansa is responsible for the payment of the funds to the host successfully received in the manner described in these payment terms. In the event that Asansa does not complete the provision of the payment terms and remit any such amount, the host will have recourse only against Asansa and not the guest directly for the failure on the provision of the payment service.
You authorize Asansa to collect from you amount due pursuant to these terms, by either charging or debiting the payment method associated with the booking or any other payment method associated with your account. Asansa may also withhold the amount from your future payout. You authorize Asansa to collect any amount due as a result of your booking, cancellations,booking modifications,or other actions as a guest, host or user of the Asansa platform. Any funds collected by Asansa will deduct the amount owed by you to Asansa and extinguish your obligation. Taxes, where applicable and as set out in the terms, any damage claims owed to Asansa according to the terms, overstay penalties payable under the terms, including any cost and expenses incurred in collecting the overstay penalty. Any amount you pay through the resolution center in connection with your Asansa account, any service fees or cancellation fees imposed pursuant to the terms. Any amount already paid to you as host despite a guest canceling a confirmed booking or Asansa deciding that it is necessary to cancel a booking in accordance with the terms or other applicable cancellation policy. You agree that in the event you have already been paid, Asansa will be entitled to recover the amount of any such guest refund from you, including by subtracting such refund amount out from any future payouts due to you. If your payment method associated with the relevant booking is determined to be expired,invalid or otherwise not able to be charged for any reason such as insufficient funds, you remain responsible for any uncollected amount. You authorize Asansa to charge or debit the payment method related to your booking again or use any other payment method information on your account if available to collect such additional amounts.
F. PRIVACY POLICY
Our privacy policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and how we share personal information and also privacy rights.
We collect personal information from you when you use the Asansa platform. Without which, we may not be able to provide all services requested. This information includes: Your profile
information consisting of first and last name,phone number,postal address,email address, some of which will depend on the features you use. Your identity information consisting of images of your government issued card or other verification information. Your payment information consisting of a payment account or bank account information.
You can choose to give us additional information such as your gender, occupation,preferred language, photos and other information you add to personalized your profile.
The Asansa platform automatically collect some information when you are using our service such as: Your geolocation information consisting of your precise or approximate location,IP address,mobile or other device GPS and any other information you share with us depending on your device settings. Your usage information consisting of your searches for listings,favoriting or bookmarking listings and attractions,your history of bookings you have made,access date and time,the pages or content you have viewed. We may collect this information even if you have not created an Asansa account or logged-in.
Your device information consisting of hardware and software information,unique identifiers,read receipts,IP address. We may collect this information even if you have not logged-in or created an Asansa account. Your payment information consisting of payment method, date and time of transactions,payment amount,PayPal email address,your address and other transactions details.
We use personal information outlined in this privacy policy to provide,improve, and develop the Asansa platform. We may process this information to process your request,enable you to communicate with others on the platform,enable you to make and receive payments, send you updates,messages,security alerts, notifications, personalized and customize your experience based on your interactions with the Asansa platform,enabling you to use our products and accommodation services.
We may process this information to detect, prevent, assess, and address fraud and security risk, and comply with our legal obligations which is protecting the wellbeing and health of Asansa users and members of the public. Study and combate discrimination, verify or authenticate information provided by you including identity information, conduct background checks and checks on databases, and assess or evaluate your interactions with the Asansa platform.
We may process this information to provide, personalize, measure and improve our marketing and advertising by sending you promotional and marketing information, administer referral programs, rewards, surveys, and other promotional activities or events managed by Asansa or its third party partners. We may also use such information to personalize and show our advertising on advertising platforms and also invite you to events and relevant opportunities.
Personal information is used to enable, or authorize third parties to use, payment services such as to detect and prevent money laundering, fraud, abuse, security accidents and conduct risk assessment. This is done to comply with legal and obligations, such as anti-money laundering regulations and sanctions.
We may share your information with other members to help facilitate bookings, we share personal information with affiliated and unaffiliated service providers to helps us run our business and for their compliance purpose including those that helps us verify your identity or authenticate your identification information, conduct background checks, security investigation, perform product maintenance and debugging and also in providing customer service, advertising, or payment services.
G. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
If you are in breach of our terms and the service of our providers terms, we won’t be liable for any such cost you incur as a result any losses and damages which were not reasonably foreseeable when you made your bookings or any event which is reasonable beyond our control. We don’t make promises about service providers services and products apart from what we expressly state in these terms.
To the extent permitted by law, the most that we and any service provider on our platform will be liable for is your reasonable foreseeable losses and damages in connection to your bookings.
H. COMMUNICATION WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDER
We provide a safe and efficient way to communicate with service providers but that doesn’t mean we are taking responsibility for anything the service provider does or doesn’t do. We can’t guarantee they will read or do anything that you ask of them. The fact of your contacting each other or having a conversation does not mean you have any ground for legal action. If you have any complaint or query, please contact our customer service team. You can do this
by accessing our app or through our help center where you will find some useful FAQ.
These will be some of the information needed to help us resolve your issues as quickly as possible, your booking confirmation code, your contact details and your email address you used when making the booking. A quick summary of the issue you are facing, including how you would like our help and also any other supporting documents you have in relation to the issues which can be pictures,receipts etc.
All complaints and queries are recorded, and urgent ones and treated with the highest priority.
J. REVIEW
After each service, the guest and host will have an opportunity to review each other. Your review must be accurate and may not contain any derogatory, discriminatory, defamatory or other language that violates these terms or applicable law.
Asansa dictionary
Account means an account with Asansa through which you get access to using our services and book accommodations on our platform
Accommodations means providing lodging service by a service provider.
Attraction means the provision of services that include museums,landscapes, experiences and tours.
“Asansa”, “us”, “we”, or “our” means the Asansa platform as an entity with which you are contracting.
Booking means the booking of an accommodation or travel experience on our platform when you have paid for it.
Booking confirmation means the confirmation email you are given or receive after making a booking or a reservation accepted.
Currency conversion rate means the rate at which we use to convert currency.
Payment method means the method used to pay for an accommodation which might be a debit card or an alternate method.
Platform means the app on which you can book travel experiences whether managed by Asansa or third party affiliates.
Service provider means the provider of travel related services on the platform which may include, the managing of hotel or accommodations services, an event promoter advertising choice events as an attraction.
Terms means these terms of service
Travel experience means the travel related services on the platform.
